Small hydropower plants to produce half of Nuclear Power Plant's electricity in 2015

YEREVAN, JANUARY 30, ARMENPRESS. In 2015 the Small hydro power plants of Armenia will produce almost half of electricity produced by the Medzamor Nuclear Power Plant. The Small hydro power plants’ development tendencies will be maintained in 2014 as well, notwithstanding there are certain issues in this sphere. The media reports saying that the Small hydro power plants will have a negative impact on the fish propagation does not correspond to the reality.

In a conversation with “Armenpress” the Chairperson of the Union of Small Hydropower Plants of Armenia Naira Nahapetyan stated that this sphere is among the leaders of Armenia’s renewable energy.
