Discovery of Dink’s murder is contributing factor to justice: Jevat Sinet

YEREVAN, JANUARY 18, ARMENPRESS. Seven years have passed since the prominent Turkish-Armenian journalist, former general editor of “Agos” periodical Hrant Dink died. Although the murderer of Dink was immediately arrested, the organizers of the crime remain in freedom till nowadays. They are not condemned; moreover, faithful to the style of Turkish mode of action, they are awarded. Turkish-Armenian journalist Jevat Sinet who asked for shelter from Belgium because of threats in Turkey once again expressed the thought in a conversation with Armenpress that the impunity of murderers of Armenian people in the country is the evidence of the fact that justice is absolutely absent in Turkey.

“To establish a real justice in Turkey, first of all the Armenian Genocide must be recognized. For that we must start from a point. Discovery and punishment of the real murderers of Hrant Dink can be such a start,” the Armenian-Turkish journalist stated. According to him, if Turkey wants to be a real fair country, it must immediately arrest the murderer of the Armenian Sevak Balykchy who served in the Army, Kevanch Aghaoghlu, who did not receive his punishment even a day in prison and was set free. The Turkish Government must also allow moving the Armenian singer, musician Aram Tigran’s ash to Diyarbakir and burying it in the Armenian cemetery.
