Davutoğlu calls Armenians and Turkish for “historical unity”

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu in his interview to HaberTurk TV Channel touched upon the normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations and stated that Turkey’s relations with Armenia will progress if the both nations “go with the historical unity way”.

Armenpress reports that Davutoğlu noted that “real peace will reign only when the Armenians and Turkish go with the historical unity way and freely open their hearts before each other”.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey emphasized that during the recent times Turkey works with Azerbaijan to develop quadrilateral mechanisms with Georgia, Iran and Turkmenistan and improve the relations with Russia and “the only missing link in this chain is Armenia”. “We do not want such isolation. If Armenia wants to come out from this isolation, it should respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan”, - said Ahmet Davutoğlu.
