Chess men's team needs young players: Master of Sports

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS: In the World Chess Team Championship 2013 the members of the Armenian national chess men’s team seem to feel tired. The FIDE Master Ashot Nadanyan told Armenpress about it. “It is not possible to get the highest horizontals in all the tournaments. The boys do not seem to be in good shape”, - he said. According to Nadanyan, if the tournament had taken place a month ago, our chess players would have shown better results.

The multiple champion of Armenia and Honored coach Gagik Hakobyan believes that “the opponents were young, who are growing”. “Maybe our team needsyoung players”, - said Hakobyan.

The World Team Championship is held from November 26 till December 5, 2013 in Antalya, Turkey. By now the Armenian Chess Men’s Team occupies the fifth horizontal. Though there are two more rounds till the end of the tournament, but the Armenian team does not have any hopes for the title. In the European team tournament our team is the fourth.
