Reason for energy system deprivation is isolation of energy systems of Armenia and Iran

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. The parallel work of electricity system of Iran and Armenia was restored. Press secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resourcesof the Republic of Armenia Lusine Harutyunyan introduced an explanation to Armenpress. “At 10:24 the electricity system of Armenia was isolated from that of Iran, as a result of which the settlements of Armenia were deprived of energy. The nuclear power of the Republic of Armenia was taken out of the energy production net on September 22 for refueling , the annual planned reconstruction , as well as for the investment of security measures. These activities will last 54 days. So, at the course of those days 198 megawatts electricity was imported to Armenia from Iran. In the result of energy system isolation of the republic the frequency of the system decreased to 45 Hz which was the reason for the deprivation of energy.
