Levon Aronyan does not consider ranking list to be that important

YEREVAN, JULY 22, ARMENPRESS: For the triple Olympic champion in chess Levon Aronyan it is more important to play with the world champion, than to place a position in the FIDE ranking list. As reported by Armenpress, touching upon his second place in the FIDE ranking list, Levon Aronyan stated in particular: “There are more important things in the world. For me the opportunity to play with the world champion is more important. I prefer that than the rankings”.

In the FIDE’s ranking Top 100 chess players Levon Aronyan is on the second place. The first horizontal is occupied by Magnus Carlsen. The third place went to Fabiano Caruana.
