YEREVAN, NOVEMEBR 12, ARMENPRESS: Armenian community in France and French President Francois Hollande have had a joint dinner which took place in a warm and trustful atmosphere. Armenian community knows for sure that Francois Hollande will keep all promises given to Armenians. This was noted by Mourd Papazian the co-chair of Armenian Organizations in France during interview with Armenpress.

“Francois Hollande has highlighted his ties with Armenia and Armenian nation, also referred to some issues, which have been already formed in France. Particularly, Hollande promised to do everything possible concerning the adoption of draft law criminalizing the denial of Armenian Genocide” Papazian said.

According to Papazian, Hollande stressed the importance of Armenian-French economic cooperation.

Earlier François Hollande has reaffirmed his commitment over the adoption of the draft law criminalizing the denial of Genocides in France. He has underlined that it is necessary to ensure legal certitude in order to avoid the refusal of the Constitutional Council.

 Let us remind that in the framework of his three-day official visit to France, Serzh Sargsyan will meet with the Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, President of the National Assembly Claude Bartolone, and the members of the France-Armenia friendship group of the French National Assembly and Senate.

Armenian and French Presidents have had a meeting in Élysée Palace which was followed by the press conference in its yard.
