Armenian-Georgian new cooperation in agricultural sphere

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS:

Minister of Agricultural Sergo Karapetyan and director of Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development (CARD) Foundation Gagik Sardaryan signed a memorandum of understanding within the framework of program on management of health of animals in the Armenian-Georgian borderline regions.

Press service of the Ministry reported that the program is being carried out funded by the Austrian Development and Cooperation Agency.

"As a result of implementation of the program a close cooperation will be established between the agriculture ministries of two friend countries Armenia and Georgia," Karapetyan said.

The goal of the program is to assist Armenia's northern and Georgia's southern regions in improving the health of the livestock, prevent them from diseases. During the implementation of the program consultations, classes, conferences will be conducted.
