Negotiations over Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement will be possible to start in the first half of 2012

BRUSSELS, DECEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS:

Recently Armenia's cooperation with the European Union has been developing in different directions, including political, economic, financial and technical support, Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan said December 5. He is member of the delegation, which is in Brussels under the head of Armenian Prime Minister, Armenpress' correspondent reports.

"We are already very close to the launch of the negotiations over Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement. In the recent years we have carried out considerable works with our EU partners in the direction of regulation of the legislative field, formation of foreign trade regimes, etc," said the Minister of Economy.

According to him, the main part of the preconditions, put in front of Armenia, has already been fulfilled, which will enable to announce about the launch of the negotiations over the agreement.

"I think the negotiations over the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement will be possible in the half of the next year. The signing of the agreement will enable our business to get integrated to the European market, that is, our products will be exported to the European big market," the Minister of Economy stressed.

Armenian Minister of Finance Vache Gabrielyan noted that the financial support of the European Union in implementation of different programs is expected next year, too. Particularly, support of 10 million Euros will be provided to the programs of the educational sphere, and the part of the 100 million Euros extended within the macro-economic support will be allocated next year.
