Grigol Vashadze says Georgia ready to mediate in NK conflict settlement issue

Georgia is ready to assume the mediation in the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Citing Azerbaijani media, Armenpress reports that it was stated by the Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze at the joint news conference with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov.

"Any format of negotiations is better than conflict. The South Caucasus is a united organism and all the states must realize that we "are sitting in one boat". In case of necessity Georgia is ready to assume the role of a broker in the conflict settlement process," Vashadze said.
