Ashot Mkhitaryan passed away

YEREVAN, MAY 24, ARMENPRESS: Chief coach of the Armenian men weightlifting team Ashot Mkhitaryan passed away from the heart attack. May 23 at night in “Zvartnots” airport meeting the Armenian youth team arriving from the Euro Youth Cup held in Valencia Ashot Mkhitaryan had a sudden heart attack and died on the place.

He was heading the Armenian weightlifting national team from 2006. Headed by him the Armenian team had excellent performances in Olympic Games, European and World Cups.
