Government promises not to make steps harming pregnant women's interests

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS: The Government of the Republic of Armenia will make every possible effort so that no pregnant woman is harmed in the result of the legislative amendments. Armenpress reports that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan stated about it at the session of the Government.
“We must do our best so that no pregnant woman is harmed. The Government will not make steps, in the result of which the pregnant will be harmed. This must be taken into account”, - said Hovik Abrahamyan, applying to the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Artem Asatryan, touching upon the amendments to the Laws on “Temporary incapability for work” and “State benefits”, which envisaged reduction of the pregnancy and maternity benefits of the employed women and providing with the minimum wage to the unemployed women.
