President Sarkissian receives European Investment Bank’s Vice President

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 31, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian received the delegation of the European Investment Bank led by Vice President Vazil Hudák, the President’s Office told Armenpress. The meeting was also attended by Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin.

The EIB Vice President introduced the Bank’s ongoing projects in Armenia and stated that they mainly relate to infrastructures and are directed for improving the life quality of the country.

President Sarkissian assessed the cooperation with the Bank as effective and stated that the successful programs are the best evidence of this. The President proposed to pay more attention to the projects directed for the future, expressing confidence that Armenia’s future are innovations and new technologies, the partnership in artificial intelligence and math modelling.

In this context President Sarkissian introduced the new presidential initiative ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) directed for science and technology development in Armenia. “It will create a right environment and will help the youth to learn from major companies”, President Sarkissian said. “I am confident that there will be opportunities of mutual partnership also for the European Investment Bank”, Vazil Hudák said.
