Deputy PM Tigran Avinyan, Georgian FM Davit Zalkaliani hold meeting in Tbilisi

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Within the framework of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani held a meeting on October 23.

FM Zalkaliani thanked the Armenian side for the high-level participation in the forum, Avinyan’s office said in a readout.

In turn, Deputy PM Avinyan congratulated Georgia for organizing the successful conference.

Avinyan emphasized that the Armenian-Georgian relations are on the highest level since independence and the dynamics of development of ties is positive.

The sides attached importance to the recent visit of Georgian PM Gakharia to Armenia, which was an important signal for strengthening partnership.

Avinyan and Zalkaliani addressed cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in bilateral and multilateral formats, highlighting issues concerning regional stability, boosting commercial-economic ties, humanitarian and cultural issues, providing more favorable conditions for development of tourism as well as simplification of entry procedures.
