5th session of joint committee on facilitation of Armenia-EU visa issuance to be held at MFA

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The 5th session of the joint committee on facilitation of Armenia-EU visa issuance will take place in the Armenian foreign ministry today, MFA spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan said, adding that the session will cover a number of issues faced by Armenian citizens while obtaining visa.

“During the session issues relating to the implementation of the agreement between Armenia and the EU on facilitation of the issuance of visas, as well as the actions to be taken to raise its efficiency will be discussed. I would like to note that the Armenian side will draw the attention of the EU partners to the fact that Armenian citizens complain over the difficulties emerging while booking smart timeframes for obtaining visas in the consulates of the EU member states, as well as over the number of ungrounded rejections connected with people who frequently visit the EU member states, including students, scientists, journalists, etc”, Anna Naghdalyan said.

She noted that Armenia attaches importance to the promotion of contacts between the people in the cooperation with the EU, and the foreign ministry will always be committed to this issue.
