STEPANAKERT, MARCH 7, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of Parliament of Artsakh Ashot Ghulyan on March 6 met with a group of members of the European Parliament in Brussels, the Artsakh Parliament told Armenpress.

Introducing the meeting participants, MEP Eleni Theocharous, head of the EP-Armenia friendship group, stated that the meeting provides a great opportunity to exchange views on various issues relating to Artsakh.

Welcoming the meeting participants, the Artsakh Parliament Speaker touched upon the successful cooperation experience with the EU and the federal and regional parliaments of Belgium, as well as highlighted the necessity to keep and promote this cooperation after the upcoming elections of the European Parliament.

During the meeting the participants also exchanged views on the recognition of the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination, the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, as well as the inclusion of Artsakh in various EU programs, including the ones aimed at civil society development.
