YEREVAN, MARCH 7, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of Parliament of Artsakh Ashot Ghulyan on March 6 met with Vice-President of the European Parliament Sylvie Guillaume, the Artsakh Parliament told Armenpress.

At the meeting Ashot Ghulyan highlighted the importance of such meetings in terms of providing impartial and first-hand information to the members of the European structures, in particular, the European Parliament, about Artsakh.

The EP Vice-President welcomed the Speaker and attached importance to the update of information about Artsakh, as well as the constant development of the relations, adding that there is a great potential for this purpose.

The meeting also touched upon the friendship of the French and Armenian peoples, the further development of democracy and rule of law in Artsakh, the organization of election processes and the expansion opportunities of the parliamentary diplomacy.

Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue the cooperation after the upcoming elections of the European Parliament.
