‘There are no contradictions and cannot be in our relations with Russia and EU’, says Armenia’s
PM

YEREVAN, MARCH 5, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on the questions regarding the cooperation with Russia and the European Union at the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, reports Armenpress.

Pashinyan stated that the EU doesn’t put a question on geopolitical orientation before Armenia.

“The cooperation agenda with the EU is completely directed for implementing reforms. Of course, our cooperation with Russia is very important because we are strategic partners, and I think that there are no contradictions and cannot be in our relations with Russia and the EU. These relations are transparent, and I want to state that our rapprochement with the EU doesn’t suppose any conspiracy against Russia, as well as there is no conspiracy against the EU in our continuous relations with Russia”, the Armenian PM said.

He added that the cooperation in energy sector is very important for Armenia. “We plan to develop it with Russia and Iran. Recently I visited Iran, and we discussed the opportunities to deepen the energy cooperation”, Pashinyan added.

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan is in Brussels on a working visit.
