YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. The working visit of Speaker of Parliament of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan to the Republic of Artsakh has kicked on February 9, the Armenian Parliament told Armenpress.

Ararat Mirzoyan met with Speaker of the Artsakh Parliament Ashot Ghoulyan during which they highly valued the mutual partnership between the two parliaments and expressed readiness to raise it to a new qualitative level. A number of issues relating to the parliamentary diplomacy were discussed.

The private meeting was followed by an extended format meeting with the participation of the heads of parliamentary factions, committees and MPs. During the meeting Speaker Mirzoyan introduced his vision on the cooperation between the two parliaments.

This is Ararat Mirzoyan’s first visit to Artsakh as a Speaker of Parliament.

During the visit Speaker Mirzoyan also visited the Stepanakert Memorial to pay tribute to the memory of the Artsakh war and the Great Patriotic War victims.
