YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on December 7 visited Gyumri on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the 1988 earthquake, press service of the government told Armenpress.

The PM laid flowers at the monument of the earthquake victims and attended a mass in the Holy Saviour's Church.

PM Karapetyan told reporters that the government has a complex program with regard to Gyumri, and the quality of life in this city will definitely change. “We need to regularly work every day to change the life here, and it will, in fact, change. The problems today Gyumri, our people are facing will be overcome, it’s just necessary to look at the future with optimism and continue working”, he said.
