YEREVAN, JUNE 15, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan hosted Jean-Louis Atangana Amougou, Cabinet Director of the International Organization of La Francophonie (IOF), press service of the Government told Armenpress.

The PM attached importance to the development of cooperation with the IOF and member states and focused on the process of preparation works of 17th summit of heads of Francophonie states and governments which will be held in Armenia in 2018.

PM Karapetyan said an inter-agency commission, as well as a working group on preparation and holding of the summit has been formed in the Foreign Ministry led by him, assuring that the Armenian Government will make all efforts to hold the event at the highest level.

Karen Karapetyan stated that the summit can become a good platform to discuss issues and programs relating to development of mutual partnership between the member states.

Jean-Louis Atangana Amougou highlighted Armenia’s active cooperation with the IOF and expressed confidence the summit will be held at best in Armenia. He stated with satisfaction that he is impressed with the process of summit preparation works, adding that the upcoming event in Armenia will become a celebration for all members of Francophonie members.
