Passenger flow significantly increases in Armenia’s two airports January-April 2017

YEREVAN, MAY 3, ARMENPRESS. A significant increase of passenger flow was registered in Armenia’s two airports in the first four months of 2017, Sergey Avetisyan – Head of the General Department of Civil Aviation, told reporters on May 3, reports Armenpress.

“Compared to January-April 2016, the passenger flow in January-April 2017 comprised 668.589 or 28.3% in both airports”, he said.

In January-April 2017, the passenger flow in the Zvartnots airport amounted 649.400 people or 25.7% increase, whereas that in the Shirak airport comprised 19.189 people or 334%.

Sergey Avetisyan added that in April as well a significant increase of passenger flow was registered. In 2017 the passenger flow in the two airports comprised 188.391 people or 42% increase. In April, 2017 the passenger flow in the Zvartnots airport comprised 183.108 people or 38.9%, whereas in the Shirak airport that number was 5283 people or 745.3% increase.
