Russia extends deadline on providing technical assistance to Armenia
YEREVAN, MARCH 16, ARMENPRESS. Russia will extend the deadline to provide technical assistance to Armenia’s Government, reports “Armenpress”.
The Government approved the draft of making respective changes in the Armenian-Russian agreement. The draft was presented by Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan who recalled that in May, 2015 Russia agreed to provide technical assistance to Armenia for improving state control procedures that were necessary for the entry to the Eurasian Union (Customs Union that time).
41 million USD will be provided according to the agreement.
The term of the agreement was expired on December 31, 2016. Nearly 2.4 million USD has been left from that money. Some part of it will be allocated for the purpose of creating electronic system of public procurement which is approved in the Eurasian Union. A reserve system (backup) will also be established for servers of the Finance Ministry. And the remaining part of the money will be allocated for improving the Government’s information system, devices were bought for TV conferences.
