STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 21, ARMENPRESS. The Constitutional referendum of Nagorno Karabakh passed accurately, transparently and in line with international standards, representative of the US observer delegation Gail Pellerin told reporters.

“We visited different polling stations in Nagorno Karabakh and I can say the referendum was held on a very high level. This is the third time we’ve organized such a visit in Nagorno Karabakh, and our previous proposals were fully realized”, Pellerin said. She especially highlighted facilitation of the participation of disabled people in the referendum and the existence of a “hot-line”.

Andreas Borgeas, the other member of the US delegation, said the referendum was very well organized. “It is not only the voting that was organized perfectly. I saw the activeness of participation of the citizens in Nagorno Karabakh”, he said.

Jim Karygiannis, member of Toronto City Council, also highly praised the organization of the referendum and the activeness of voters. “I haven’t seen such activeness anywhere else. The people of Nagorno Karabakh showed the international community that they are decisive in their actions”, he said.
