Turkey has violated a key principle of international relations – says Armenian FM

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 20, ARMENPRESS. Turkey is to blame for the stall in the reconciliation process between Armenia and Turkey. “Armenpress” reports Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian told “Ria Novosti”.

“Our position is clear for everyone – normalization of relations with Turkey without any preconditions. We had this understanding in mind when we launched talks and reached some agreements… The fact that Ankara is to blame for the stall in the reconciliation process initiated by the President of Armenia in 2008 is not questioned by anyone.

Therefore, the mediators have nothing to do here. Turkey has violated a key principle of international relations - pacta sunt servanda – agreements should be respected”, Nalbandian said.
