YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian held a meeting on November 16 with Bridget Brink – Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the U.S. State Department, the ministry told ARMENPRESS.

Nalbandian welcomed the guest and expressed satisfaction over the high level friendly relations of Armenia and the United States, underscoring that significant progress has been documented during the past years in the bilateral relations through joint efforts, which creates a good opportunity for expanding and strengthening mutual cooperation.

Thanking for the reception, Bridget Brink noted that the United States highly appreciates the partner relations with Armenia and is interested in further deepening the ties.

The sides discussed prospects of developing the Armenian-American trade-economic cooperation, exchanges views about the activity of the Armenian-American trade and investment council and the intergovernmental committee on economic affairs.

Issues related to the realization of the Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements – aimed at creating conditions for moving the settlement process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict forward – were also discussed.

Edward Nalbandian and Bridget Brink exchanged view on several international and regional matters also.
