YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian on November 1 met Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Le Luong Minh in Jakarta, press service of the MFA told “Armenpress”.

The sides discussed issues related to the cooperation development prospects between Armenia and ASEAN, as well as Armenia and ASEAN member states.

ASEAN Secretary-General presented the ongoing integration processes, the projects within ASEAN, the results of deepening the economic cooperation, the new opportunities for the member states, as well as the organization’s prospects.

The possibility of establishing mutual cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and ASEAN was included in the agenda of the meeting.

Le Luong Minh said ASEAN is interested in such cooperation, and already steps are taken towards that path both by the member states and the Association. The Armenian FM expressed Armenia’s support to those efforts.
