YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. By the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan it is already the 4^th year the parents of soldiers have a chance to visit their sons serving in the bordering military units, press service of the Municipality told “Armenpress”.

Like the previous times, this time as well the Municipality took care of all the needs for parents during their visit. There were also doctors in all buses.

During this visit parents of over 1200 soldiers were departed for the military units. It is important to state that starting from 2013 more than 7000 Yerevan residents from all administrative districts have already had a chance to visit their sons and get acquainted with the service conditions.

Ceremonies have been organized in all bordering military units. During the ceremonies a number of distinguished soldiers have been awarded with certificates of appreciation of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan. Yerevan Municipality has also provided other gifts to all military units.

The commanders of the military units said Yerevan Mayor’s such initiative has not only social, but also moral and psychological importance and contributes to strengthening the army-society ties, enhancing the combat readiness of the armed forces.

In their turn, the parents of soldiers expressed their gratitude to Mayor Taron Margaryan for the attitude and special attention directed to them.
