Olympic Champion Arthur Alexanyan celebrates 25th birthday

Alexanyan won the gold medal at the 31st Summer Olympic Games and is a two-time World champion and three-time European champion.
Arthur Alexanyan was born in 1991 in Gyumri. Arthur Alexanyan began wrestling in 2000, guided by his father – Honored Coach of Armenia Gevorg Alexanyan.
Alexanyan is the most decorated athlete in Armenian Sports, he is the 2014 and 2015 World Champion and 2012, 2013, 2014 European Champion.
Alexanyan conquered gold at the Rio Olympics – the first Armenian athlete to win gold for 20 years.
Alexanyan is a humble and shy man, with a sharp sense of humor – typical for Gyumretsis.
The Champion has been awarded the Order for Services to the Fatherland.
