French MP visits Tsitsernakaberd Memorial
15:45, 28 September 2016YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS. MP of the French Parliament, member of France-Armenia friendship group François Rochebloine on September 28 visited Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial.
He was accompanied by Chairman of Armenia-France friendship group of the Armenian Parliament Ara Babloyan, press service of the Parliament informed “Armenpress”.
The guests laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and paid tribute to the memory of the victims with a moment of silence.
Thereafter, they visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and got acquainted with the exhibits.
François Rochebloine left a note in the Honorary Guest Book and planted a fir tree in the Memorial Park.
“I get excited every time visiting Tsitsernakaberd Memorial. I would like to emphasize that this tree is planted not only on my own behalf, but also on behalf of all French MPs who voted in favor of the Armenian Genocide recognition bill”, he said and attached importance to the condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and all genocides.
