YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador of Armenia to Italy H.E. Victoria Baghdasaryan presented her credentials to Italian President Sergio Mattarella on July 28.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia told ARMENPRESS after the ceremony a private meeting took place between the Ambassador and President Mattarella.

President Mattarella congratulated Ambassador Baghdasaryan on her appointment and wished success by assuring that Italy’s state entities will assist the Ambassador’s initiatives aimed at developing Armenian-Italian relations.

Ambassador Baghdasaryan assured that she will make all possible efforts during her tenure for deepening and strengthening the Armenian-Italian friendly relations and cooperation.

The sides underscored the historical close ties between the two peoples and the common set of values, as well as the Armenian community in Italy, which has been present for centuries, are an important foundation for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Italy in various areas.
