YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS. Former Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu has admitted that the Russian Su-24 jet was downed at his order, Ria Novosti reported.

According to Ria Novosti, personally Ahmet Davutoğlu gave the order to down the Russian jet in November of 2015.

Ahmet Davutoğlu said that was a general order for ensuring the security of Turkey’s air space.

“The October rules of engagement were implemented on not only Syrian planes but all that breaches the Turkish air space,” he said.

According to the ex-PM, he gave the orders when the Russian planes were continuously making violations while conducting operations in Syria.
