Armenian Justice Minister elected Chairman of Council of Justice Ministers of CIS countries
YEREVAN, MAY 18, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan is on a two-day visit to St. Petersburg to participate in the session of the Council of Justice Ministers of the CIS countries, as well as in St. Petersburg legal forum which will be attended by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Press Service of the Armenian Ministry of Justice informed “Armenpress”.
On My 17 the session of the Council of Justice Ministers of the CIS countries was held during which the Armenian Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan was elected the Chairman of the Council of Justice Ministers of the CIS countries. Several issues were included in the agenda of the session and the Ministers presented their works done in their countries. In particular, issues related to notary system, legislation on NGOs in the development of advocacy services were discussed during the session.
After the meeting the Justice Ministers of the CIS countries signed a memorandum on the development of cooperation on legal security integration issues within the framework of the Eurasian Customs Union. The memorandum aims to strengthen and develop the principles adopted by the EAEU member states and the norms of the international law.
The visit of Armenian Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan to St. Petersburg will continue on May 18.
