Tigran Tsitoghdzyan – World Famous Armenian Artist
YEREVAN, MAY 10, ARMENPRESS. World famous Armenian artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan’s work is known in many countries. His last 2015-2016 works are summarized in a movie, which may be presented during the Golden Apricot film festival in Yerevan.
The artist’s works have been presented in an exhibition in Brussels on April 22. Simultaneously the artist took part in exhibitions in Venice and Geneva.
His works have been received very well.
Tsitoghdzyan’s exhibiton entitled “Tigran Tsitoghdzyan: Mirrors” was opened in the Cafesjian Center for the Arts in Yerevan in 2015.
Currently he is collaborating with filmmaker Artur Balder on a movie. The movie summarizes his 2015-2016 works, exhibitions. If finished on time, the movie may be presented at the “Golden Apricot” festival.
In an interview with Armenpress Tsitoghdzyan said one has to have a different mindset in order to be an artist, one has to be against any kind of system.
The artist is currently preparing for his upcoming exhibition in New York, which will open in May of 2017.
Tigran Tsitoghdzyan was born in 1976 in Yerevan. He started painting since the age of 5. His first exhibition was organized when he was 10. From 1993-1999 he studied at the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts, and continued in the Swiss École Cantonale d'Art du Valais.
In 2009 he settled in New York.
