Tigran Sargsyan to chair Eurasian Economic Commission Board from February 1

YERREVAN, OCTOBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Ambassador of Armenia to the USA Tigran Sargsyan will assume chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board from February 1, 2016. “Armenpress” informs that the decision was taken on October 16, during the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council’s session convened in Kazakhstan.

“We decided that from February 1, 2016, Armenia will chair the Eurasian Economic Commission Board and Tigran Sargsyan, former Prime Minister of Armenia, will assume the chairmanship of the Board. Sargsyan’s candidacy is supported by the Russian President Vladimir Putin as they worked together some time ago. He is said to be an experienced and advanced specialist, therefore we appointed him the Chairman of the Commission. From February 1, 2016, he will start working in the post”, “TASS” reports, President of Belarus Republic Alxander Lukashnko said.
