“Armenpress” reports, citing “Turan”, that the statement issued by the National Council on September 10 informs about this.

“There are not even half of the conditions to conduct fair and just elections in the country. This is the reason the National Council of Democratic Forces refuses to participate in imitation of elections and does not want to become a means for legitimizing them”, reads the statement.

On August 19 the National Council of Democratic Forces of Azerbaijan introduced a number of suggestions to the authorities aimed at democratization the pre-election situation. The suggestions included elimination of repression, removal of restraints on political rights, suspension of independent media repressions and so on.
