The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation discussed the Syrian conflict and a number of Russian-American related issues in a telephone conversation with the US Secretary of State John Kerry. “Armenpress” reports that “TASS” was informed about this from the RF MFA.

“The focus was on the settlement of the Syrian conflict. The path to it, according to the Geneva June 30, 2012 communique, is the dialogue between the Syrian government and opposition”, the RF MFA mentioned, adding that “Sergey Lavrov once again stressed the necessity to jointly withstand the terrorist groups who have seized a vast territory of Syria and are a threat to international security and the burden of struggle with the terrorists falls on the shoulders of the Syrian regular army”.

The RF MFA informed that international issues and Russian-American relations were also discussed.
