Armenian and Serbian MFAs to hold political consultations

YEREVAN, JUNE 3, ARMENPRESS: On June 3 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian met with the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić. Armenpress was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia that the meeting launched in a bilateral format, during which the issues of the Armenian-Serbian agenda were discussed.  
Welcoming the guest, Edward Nalbandian highlighted the bilateral and multilateral format meetings, which are a speaking evidence of the high level interstate relations.
Thanking for the reception and hospitality, Ivica Dačić stated that Armenia and Serbia and brotherly countries and highlighted the further development and strengthening of the bilateral relations.
Nalbandian noted and highlighted the participation of the President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić in the commemoration ceremony of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide held on 24 April in the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian and the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić highlighted that Armenia and Serbia intensify the high-level political dialogue. The works are already carried out to establish diplomatic missions in Yerevan and Belgrade.
During the meeting trade and economic, cultural and interparliamentary ties activation issues were discussed.
According to Armenia’s Foreign Minister, during the meeting, a memorandum on the cooperation between the foreign ministries of two countries was signed, with which it is considered to hold regular political consultations.
