YEREVAN, 28 MAY, ARMENPRESS. President of the Parliament of Syria Mohammad Jihad al-Laham and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan discussed the latest political developments in Syria and in the region and the systematic terrorist acts against the people of Syria. As “Armenpress” reports, citing SANA, during the meeting, Nalbandyan mentioned that the crimes of terrorist groups in Syria are crimes against humanity and added that it was necessary to see the dialogue between all the sides in Syria continue in order to protect the interests of the country.

“The purpose of the wars taking place in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya is to destroy the structure of the state and create weak subjects that fight against each other,” the parliamentary speaker mentioned.

Al-Laham called on combining efforts to fight against terrorism and exert pressure on those funding and supporting terrorism in order to put an end to their actions. He also praised Armenia’s position on the support to Syria. In his turn, Edward Nalbandyan affirmed that efforts need to be made to resist terrorist acts.
