YEREVAN, APRIL 16, ARMENPRESS. On April 16 the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan took part in the international conference “Eurasian Economic Perspectives.”

The National Assembly Speaker in his remarks has noted that the Republic of Armenia highlights the holding of the events: they allow us to outline the perspectives of the integration development, as well as discuss the pressing issues, to which the participant countries are related almost every day. He has also emphasized the possibility of seeking and finding joint solutions for the existing challenges.

The Information and Public Relations Department of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that talking about the Eurasian Economic Union, the Speaker of the National Assembly has stated that it gives big opportunities for the deepening of inter-state cooperation. In the NA Speaker’s word, joining the Eurasian Economic Union, the Republic of Armenia became a part of costing about 170mln market. This fact makes attractive our countries for the investments.

In his speech Galust Sahakyan has also stated that the elimination of the customs bans is one of the most important achievements of the EEU, which gives opportunity the economic entities to decrease the financial expenditures and the terms of the commercial functions. He has noted that we should make efforts in order the Eurasian common market will function universal, transparent and by understandable legislation.

In Galust Sahakyan’s word, in the coming years a lot should be done in this direction and during that period we should be guided by the EEU treaty. According to the NA Speaker, building integration models it is important to see the future, the perspectives which are opened for every participant, as well as for the integration unity as a whole. He has documented that in the conditions, when the Eurasian project has become a reality, we already can and should strengthen the cooperation, calling on new programmes, which will stem from the perception that in the historical perspective it is necessary to move to the creation of free economic area: from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

“In our opinion it is very important to provide the transparency of the integration union. Undoubtedly, one of the main conditions of the successful and effective development of the Eurasian integration process is the creation of the relevant legal field. In this context, the main problem of the parliaments of our countries, I believe is the non-intervention of the economic cooperation processes. We can eliminate the possible shortcomings in the legal field, as well as improve the legislation, making it consonant with the international best experience. Its aim is the implementation of the ideas of the Eurasian Economic Union by the governments of our countries,” Galust Sahakyan noted.

Concluding his speech the Head of the parliament has added that the Republic of Armneia is ready for the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
