YEREVAN, 19 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. President Serzh Sargsyan has sent a condolence message on the death of Seryozha Avetisyan, the child of the Avetisyans who were murdered in Gyumri. As the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Structure to the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the following is mentioned in the President’s condolence message:

“We failed to save little Seryozha’s life. Despite the immense efforts of high-class Armenian and Russian doctors, we lost him. The light that was the only console for all of us after the crime that took place in Gyumri and left us with something to do to recover the unrecoverable to a certain extent, went out. Alas, it was a failure, despite all the possible and impossible efforts.

I express my condolences to the Avetisyans’ relatives, all citizens of Gyumri and the entire Armenian nation. True, condolences won’t dispel the sorrow no matter how much they are expressed and won’t bring back what we have lost, but we have to resist the pain. We have to find the strength and courage. There is no other formula for living. We have to continue living and achieve fair reparations for all the pains and for this crime.”
