Hasan Cemal sorry for Turkey-committed crime

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS: The Republic of Turkey established 90 years ago though it has not managed to become a real democratic and legal country. In his article on the establishment of the Turkish Republic the famous Turkish journalist and publicist Hasan Cemal touched upon the sins of the state committed during the history. Quoting the Turkish t24.com, Armenpress reports that the grandson of Young Turk Party leader, the Armenian-Genocide committed Cemal Pasha, mentions the events of 1915 as a crime committed by the state, the assassination of Hrant Dink.
Hasan Cemal states that the mastering of the Armenian property in 1915-1916, which became a base for the Turkish bourgeoisie establishment, has not been studied in the universities. “Call it whatever you want, a massacre or an Armenian Genocide, a deportation or a tragedy. The state took the responsibility for the bloodiest pages of the history, for the events of 1915. Certainly, the state has successes as well. But will there be a time, when after 90 years we will remember our country not only with honor but also with its sins”, - concluded Hasan Cemal.
Hasan Cemal, the grandson of Young Turk Party leader Cemal Pasha, recognizes the events of 1915 as genocide. Cemal visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan in 2008 and laid flowers to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
