The friendship group with Armenia in the Senate of Argentina calls on Azerbaijan to immediately open the Lachin Corridor

The friendship group with Armenia in the Senate of the Argentine Republic adopted a statement condemning Azerbaijan's blocking of the Lachin Corridor and expressing concern about the possible humanitarian disaster in Nagorno-Karabakh. ARMENPRESS reports, the members of the friendship group expressed their concern regarding the closure of the Lachin Corridor and the restriction of access to food and other services of 120 thousand besieged citizens living in Artsakh. "We call on Azerbaijan to immediately open the road and allow free movement through the corridor in accordance with the provisions of the trilateral agreement of November 9, 2020. The blockade of the Lachin Corridor not only restricts the right of free movement of the people of Artsakh, but also endangers the food supply. All this can lead to a serious humanitarian crisis," the statement said. The members of the friendship group also consider it necessary to immediately restore dialogue between the parties and resolve differences through consensus in order to find peaceful solutions.
