Armenia doesn’t consider negotiation process with Azerbaijan to be a dead end – MP

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. Armenia does not consider the negotiation process with Azerbaijan to be a dead end, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Eduard Aghajanyan told reporters at a briefing, when asked whether the cancellation of the meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan scheduled on December 7 speaks about the negotiation process being in a deadlock and the possibility of new border clashes.

“We don’t consider the situation to be a dead end. We have just recorded that there was a concrete agreement, and Armenia is not refusing from that agreement. Azerbaijan’s position and behavior from this perspective is not something new. There have been cases when the Azerbaijani side refused to attend the meetings in accordance with a preliminary agreement, which, of course, is not a positive process, but we do not consider the process to be a dead end”, he said.
