Strasbourg City Council adopts motion of support for Armenia

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. The Strasbourg City Council unanimously adopted a motion to support Armenia, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.

The motion was submitted by Council member M. Pierre Jakubowicz.

The motion says that Armenia has once again faced an aggression on its land by Azerbaijan, its borders and international right have been violated.

It also says that Armenia, a member of the Council of Europe, is a brotherly country, and the repeating attacks on it are an existential danger, which is unacceptable.

The Strasbourg City Council and all its members affirmed their support to the Armenian people and strongly condemned the military attack on Armenia, calling for returning to fair and lasting peace.

As a sign of solidarity, the city of Strasbourg will hoist the flag of Armenia in front of the City Hall and the Administrative Center.
