YEREVAN, JULY 14, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian has sent a congratulatory letter to President of France Emmanuel Macron on the National Day of France, the Armenian President’s Office told Armenpress.

The letter says:

“I warmly congratulate you and the good people of France on the French National Day, wishing a constant progress to your country.

I am happy over the fact that the unique Armenian-French relations, which were built on the base of centuries-old ties and friendship between our peoples, continue developing with the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding.

We managed to establish productive cooperation almost in all spheres of mutual interest. Armenia is highly interested in expanding and deepening the mutually beneficial partnership with France with new initiatives and programs for the benefit of our countries and peoples.

I am confident that we will enrich the bilateral agenda with programs of mutual interest through joint efforts. The implementation of the agreements reached will give a new signal to the further development and strengthening of the Armenian-French relations in different areas.

Armenia highly values the consistent efforts of France aimed at the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, as well as the establishment of lasting peace in South Caucasus.

Dear Mr. President,

The efforts of France aimed at saving human lives and mitigating the consequences of the pandemic deserve specific appreciation. Especially today, at this difficult period conditioned by the coronavirus pandemic, the importance of close partnership with our friendly country is felt more obviously.

I express my deepest gratitude to you, the French government and good people on the investment in the EU’s financial aid, as well as for sending French doctors to Armenia aimed at helping their Armenian colleagues.

This once again reaffirms the centuries-old friendship of the Armenian and French peoples. I am confident that we will overcome this crisis as well with joint efforts.

At this difficult period for all of us I wish you and the good people of France good health and tenacity”.
