YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan hopes that Armenia’s trade turnover with Russia will reach 2 billion dollars this year.

“We hope that this year trade turnover will reach 2 billion dollars, which is a rather good result, and this all is creating very good basis for further development of strategic partnership between our countries,” Pashinyan told Russian FM Sergey Lavrov during a November 11 meeting in Yerevan.

“I am convinced that your visit will act as an impetus for our relations, for our allied relations. Like you had recently mentioned, I too am looking at the further development of our relations with great optimism,” the Armenian PM said.

Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said Russia is happy that trade turnover with Armenia is developing.

“Russia is Armenia’s leading partner, the number one investor in Armenian economy,” Lavrov said.

Russia’s FM Sergey Lavrov is on an official two-day visit in Armenia.
