Deputy PM Tigran Avinyan, Georgia’s economy minister Natia Turnava hold meeting

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Deputy PM Tigran Avinyan had a meeting on October 22 with Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava.

Avinyan noted that the two countries have significant untapped potential in the economy sector and that it is necessary to boost the Armenian-Georgian commercial-economic cooperation with new and ambitious projects, Avinyan’s Office said in a news release.

In this context the deputy PM attached importance to the organization of the Armenian-Georgian inter-governmental commission’s session this summer after a long halt.

The sides discussed possibilities of cooperation in the sectors of AI, microchip modelling, satellite communication and renewable energy and reached an agreement to scrutinize prospects of joint projects in these directions.

During the meeting the strengthening of partnership between the two countries in the anti-monopoly area was also addressed.
