YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 14, ARMENPRESS. The United States and China have kicked off another round of trade talks on February 14 in Beijing.

The Chinese delegation is led by Liu He, China’s top economy official and Vice Premier.

The American delegation is headed by US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

Earlier U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that the preliminary negotiations that commenced Monday were proceeding well.

The previous round of talks held January 30-31 in Washington yielded no agreement.

Trump said a deal must be reached by March 1, or else the U.S. will raise tariffs from 10% to 25% on imports of over 200 billion dollars worth of products.
