Armenia and Belarus discuss healthcare cooperation

YEREVAN, JANUARY 29, ARMENPRESS. Armenian healthcare minister Arsen Torosyan held a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Valery Malashkoy during a working visit to Belarus.

During the meeting, Malashkoy presented the country’s achievements in the healthcare sector, possible directions for cooperation between Armenia and Belarus in areas such as oncology, organ transplantation, diagnostics and treatment with new generation high tech devices, dentistry, pharmaceuticals and others, the healthcare ministry said.

The sides discussed possibilities of Belarus’s legal and expert assistance in the transplantation area. At the same time, the sides considered the issue of organizing treatment of Armenian citizens in Belarus – taking into consideration an agreement signed as part of the CIS.

Torosyan and his delegation also visited the Republican Scientific Center of Oncology of Belarus, the Hematology and Immunology Scientific-Research Center and viewed the achievements of the facilities.
